BT's National Art Honors Society students have collaborated closely with Jesuit Academy in partnership with JPYD of Omaha and The HotShops Art Center to create a vibrant mural that will find its home in the heart of Jesuit Academy's institution. Through the generous support of Jay-Boi Youth Development, who provided materials and transportation for the students, the organizations together embarked on a journey of creativity and inspiration.

The process was truly collaborative, as students from Jesuit Academy visited BT's space at the HotShops, drawing inspiration from existing murals and engaging in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize their own. Together, the students captured their ideas using Canva, leveraging technology to bridge the physical gap between their classrooms while maintaining a shared vision.

At the Hotshops, students projected the finalized design onto the wall, meticulously outlining and preparing for the vibrant colors to come. With each stroke of paint, the collective vision came to life, with Jesus at the center, surrounded by hues reflecting the Jesuit Academy's identity.

The mural will reside proudly in the main hall, where it will serve as a focal point for reflection and inspiration during thier Chapel.

"It's a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity, bringing together students from different backgrounds to create something truly meaningful and impactful," said BT's Upper School art teacher Kat Anderson.
