AP Environmental Science Visits Firstar Fiber

Students in AP Environmental Science went to Firstar Fiber on April 2. The students learned about the various machines used for sorting and packaging the recycling that is picked up from our houses. The orange Hefty bag program is used to make composite lumber. The students thought it was really interesting that the styrofoam containers used for takeout could eventually become a deck or porch!
