Personal Travel (updated 8/10/20)
Travel increases your chance of getting and spreading COVID-19. Staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. If you choose to travel by airplane domestically or internationally, Brownell Talbot requires you to self-quarantine for 14 days. Contact Assistant Head of School Jason Smith to make distance learning arrangements for the duration of the self-quarantine.
Brownell Talbot employees are also required to self-quarantine at home for 14 days following air travel. An employee who is unable to fulfill the responsibilities of their position from home during self-quarantine will be required to use any available personal days (faculty), vacation (staff), or accrued sick leave (if applicable) first and any remaining days would be unpaid.
Brownell Talbot created its policy on personal travel based on recommended guidelines from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and the needs of the BT community.
You are encouraged to share your travel plans with the school by completing the form at brownell.edu/healthcheck.
