House System Floor Hockey Tournament
megan.hunter

The Upper School Houses have been playing floor hockey over the past several Fridays and the championship games are set to take place on Friday, March 8. After five rounds of pool play, the single elimination bracket tournament got underway this past Friday.

In the girls division, Butterfield beat Abbott in the first round, but lost to #1 seed Hoyt in the semi-finals. Gillmore defeated Ingalls, only to fall to #2 seed Saratoga in the semis, and will now play Butterfield for third place. Hoyt and Saratoga meet in the championship game.

The boys bracket saw the top seed fall as #6 seed Dake beat Patrick and then the number #1 seeded Hermann to advance to the finals. They will play #2 seed Clarkson who held firm against the upstart Worthington. Worthington fought their way into the semi-final match with a victory over Hitchcock in the opening round.

The consolation and championship games will be streamed live on Brownell Talbot's Facebook page for you hockey (and House System) fans out there. The puck drops for the girls third place game at 11:45 am. The boys third place game should start around 11:52 am, with the championship games beginning at 12:00 pm. We call our hockey tournament "Four Minutes of Mayhem" for a reason. Come to Scott Gymnasium on Friday if you would like to see the live action.
