Fourth Grade Field Trip to Lincoln
megan.hunter

On Friday, October 19, the fourth grade class will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska. In their Social Studies classes they have been learning about the different levels of government: national, state, and local. Specifically, they have been reading about the uniqueness of our state government and its unicameral and bipartisan system.

In Lincoln, the students will take a guided tour of the State Capitol. The tour will include a walk through the magnificent rotunda, a look into the Nebraska Supreme Court, and a trip up the elevator to the observation deck.

After the tour, they will enjoy their sack lunches outside of Morrill Hall (weather permitting). After lunch the students will go on a guided tour of Morrill Hall, led by Mrs. Heather McIntyre-Haas. The tour includes a walk through the Paleontology of Nebraska, the Mesozoic Gallery, and the Hall of Nebraska Wildlife. We are looking forward to this wonderful Lincoln adventure!
