The Middle School Mathcounts team recently competed in the annual Middle States Chapter Competition. This year the competition was held digitally with all competitors submitting solutions to the 35 problems online from their own school buildings.
BT's four competitors completed the 90-minutes of problem-solving, achieving scores in the mid-20s. Competing were Ahaan Gulati, '26, Jarvis Gushard, '26, Gracie Smith, '26, and Joslyn Stamp, '26. Our top three scores were only a few points apart, and very competitive. In the end, Gracie Smith finished as BT's leading scorer with 28 points. She will compete in the Stage 2 competition this Thursday.
This contest will also be held live with all competitors nationwide online at the same time. Gracie will compete beginning at 6:00 pm on Thursday. Good luck, Gracie!
