STATE TRACK RESULTS
Six Brownell-Talbot athletes competed in the State Track meet last weekend at Omaha Burke High School.
Senior Taylor White-Welchen placed third in both the Class C girls' 100-meter dash (12.863 sec.) and 200-meter dash (26.454 sec.).
Junior Aisha Yapp placed 18th in the Class C girls' triple jump (32'2").
The boys' 400-meter relay team placed 14th in Class C with a time of 46.68 se. The team comprised sophomore Arlie Myers, and freshmen Jordan Proby, Jon Vrana, and Jordan Kerrey.
GIRLS' STATE TENNIS RESULTS
Six members of Brownell-Talbot's tennis team competed in the State Tennis Championships last week.
No. 1 singles sophomore Leslie Atkinson lost in the first match to the No. 1 seeded player from Elkhorn South (6-0, 6-0).
No. 2 singles senior Britt Fossum lost in the first match to the No. 1 seeded player from Skutt (6-1, 6-0).
No. 1 doubles senior Sammi Bray and freshman Sadie Rich lost to the doubles team from Hastings (6-1, 6-2).
No. 2 doubles senior Talia Simon and junior Alison Brockman lost to the doubles team from McCook (6-1, 7-6).
T. EHRESMAN QUALIFIES FOR STATE GOLF
Tyler Ehresman will compete in the State Golf Championships tomorrow and Wednesday, May 22-23, in Kearney. He will tee off at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Live scoring will be available at the NSAA Web site.
