SOCCER TEAMS WIN FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME
The Brownell-Talbot/Concordia/DC West girls' soccer team won 5-1 against Lutheran Northeast last week. Junior Denise Dantzler scored three goals in leading the team to victory. The girls' team begins District play today, Monday, April 30, against Mercy at 5:30 p.m. at Skutt Catholic.
Brownell-Talbot/Roncalli/Concordia boy's soccer team defeated Beatrice last week in the consolation game of the RCC tournament. The game was scoreless in regulation and went to an overtime shootout. Freshman Pedro Castro scored a goal in the shootout. The boys play Elkhorn in Districts today, Monday, April 30, at 7:15 p.m. at Ralston
GIRLS' TENNIS TEAM DEFEATS NEBR. CITY
The B-T girls' tennis team defeated Nebraska City 9-0 last week.
The No. 1 doubles team senior Sammi Bray and freshman Sadie Rich won 8-0. The No. 2 doubles team senior Talia Simon and junior Alison Brockman won 8-4. The No. 3 doubles team senior Dale Chong and sophomore Leslie Atkinson won 8-0.
At No. 1 singles, Bray won 8-0. At No. 2 singles, Rich won 8-2. At No. 3 singles Chong won 8-2. At No, 4 singles Simon won 8-3. At No. 5 singles, Brockman won 8-1, and at No. 6 singles, Atkinson won 8-6.
BOYS' GOLF RESULTS
Platteview defeated Brownell 167-174 last Monday. Sophomore David Rich shot a 37 followed by sophomore Tyler Ehresman – 42, senior Saif Shah – 47, junior Dustin Waggoner – 52, senior Jonny Trinh – 48, and sophomore David Bakos – 52.
The boys placed 11th at the Elkhorn Invite last Wednesday. Scores follow: Ehresman – 87, Rich – 91, Shah 96, Trinh – 103, and Waggoner – 108.
In their final dual of the week, Gross defeated BT 164-182. Scores follow: Ehresman – 41, Shah – 44, Waggoner – 47, Trinh – 50, and Rich – 50.
DISTRICT MUSIC OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
Congrats to Linda Liu and Grace Bydalek for earning an Outstanding Performance rating at the District music competition April 20 at Yutan. Liu earned the award for an instrumental solo. Bydalek earned the award with a vocal solo.
