International Students are charged an annual $6,000 above tuition to account for a variety of additional administrative support and services.
Tuition and fees include the cost of field trips, special performances, extracurricular activities, admission to home sporting events and plays, musicals, outdoor education, graduation, and physical education uniforms (grades 5-8), including laundry service.
Upper and Middle School students are expected to purchase or provide textbooks and all additional instructional materials. Upper School students must also purchase the School specified laptop computer.
Charges for food service, bookstore items, and other incidentals may be made through the Business Office as needed during the school year and are payable upon receipt. Tuition obligations are incurred for the full year in accordance with the Registration Contract and are payable by one of the following plans:
- Payment in full no later than August 1, 2013
- Payment in two equal installments on August 1, 2013 and December 1, 2013
- Payment in nine equal consecutive monthly installments, including interest at the rate of 15% per annum, beginning on August 1, 2013, and continuing on the 1st day of each succeeding month to and including April 1, 2014
- By means of an external budget payment plan, FACTS Management Company
No allowance will be made in the tuition and required fees for absence or withdrawal of a student. The Tuition Refund Plan is available to parents. This plan gives parents an opportunity to insure fees (prepaid and/or due) in the event of absence or withdrawal according to the terms of the plan. Details are available from the Business Office. MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and/or Visa are accepted for contributions and payments for Delights, bookstore, and food service, but are not accepted for tuition payment.
| It is our desire to offer an outstanding curriculum taught by the best teachers to a diverse and capable student body. To help us achieve this goal we ask that all Brownell-Talbot parents participate in Parent Pride. Parent Pride is an annual campaign through which families contribute tax-deductible dollars to help offset the difference between the operating budget and what tuition dollars cover. Annually, tuition covers approximately 85% of the actual cost to educate each student. Faculty and staff participate in a similar program and traditionally 100% support the School in this way. |
