B-T Youth Sports Organization
The B-T Youth Sports Organization is a parent run organization that provides recreational opportunities for Kindergarten through 8th grade Brownell-Talbot students to play organized team sports. The B-T Youth Sports Organization will function as an umbrella organization under which soccer, basketball and any other team sports may be organized for Kindergarten through 8th grade students. The general guidelines are:
- Allow an opportunity to learn to play team sports in a way to build skill, confidence and good sportsmanship.
- Whether playing recreational or competitive level sports, provide an opportunity for the development of every player regardless of ability while having fun.
- Build good sportsmanship and positive attitudes in players, coaches and parents.
- Provide coach-training opportunities and encourage coaches to learn coaching skills and techniques appropriate for each level of play.
Most recreation youth sports programs are founded on three important principles: Fun, Personal Development and Skill Development. The B-T Youth Sports Organization will allow every player the opportunity to learn the game while having fun!
