Upper School: Graduation Requirements

The Upper School curriculum permits choice within a rigorous program. Graduation requirements are higher than any other secondary school in Nebraska.

Students must complete 25 credit hours, including four years of English, four-and-a-half years of history, three years of science, four years of mathematics, two years of the same foreign language, two years each of fine arts and physical education, and one computer course beyond keyboarding.

Students demonstrating proficiency in both keyboarding and basic applications may select a more advanced course to fulfill the computer requirement. For those who wish to obtain advanced standing in college, 12 Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered: English (2); foreign languages (5); history (1); mathematics (1); science (2); and computer science (1). The Advanced Placement courses prepare students for the AP Examinations. Admission to Advanced Placement courses is by the permission of the instructor and the head of Upper School.
