Students Explore College Admissions Process

On Friday, October 20, Brownell Talbot hosted the Mock College Application Review and Mini College Fair, where 16 colleges, 30+ parents, and all of Upper School students and faculty members came together to discuss the landscape of college admission. This event provided an opportunity for students, parents, and faculty to participate in a simulated mock application review, which gave a unique perspective to the college application process and fostered open dialogue around the selectivity in college admissions. The event continued with a college admissions panel, and concluded with a mini college fair for our students and parents.

We are so thankful for the participation on the part of the faculty, parents and students, as well as the college representatives that joined us from Augustana College, Creighton University, The George Washington University, Hillsdale College, Marquette University, Metropolitan Community College, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Newman University, New York University, Rockhurst University, Simpson College, University of Chicago, University of Nebraska at Lincoln, University of St. Thomas, University of Tampa, and Wayne State College.
