Heads Up: UNO Academic Bowl 2017: U.S. History

The fifth annual UNO Academic Bowl for AP U.S. History was held on Saturday April 22 on the UNO campus. Fourteen teams from the Omaha metro area competed in preparation for the College Board AP Exam in U.S. History. Teams competed in areas of Stimulus Multiple Choice, Short Answer, Document Based Questions, and Long Essay. The only teams that finished higher than Brownell Talbot were from either Creighton Prep or Omaha Central.

Team results were:

1st - Creighton Prep "A"

2nd - Central" "A"

3rd - Creighton Prep "B"

4th - Creighton Prep "C"

5th - Brownell Talbot "A"

6th - Mt. Michael "A"

7th - Brownell Talbot "C"

8th - Brownell Talbot "B"

Brownell Talbot had 18 individuals competing with 13 receiving individual medals.

Gold Medal - Christian Kjeldgaard

Silver Medal - Jocelyn Ho

Bronze Medal - Libby Garfoot, Sara Jiang, Liam O'Connell

Document Based Question

Silver Medal - Jenna Mu, Grace Alli

Bronze Medal - Hannah Harrach

Free Response Question

Gold Medal - Aneeq Bashir

Silver Medal - Diva Agarwal, Victoria Lei

Bronze Medal - Audrey Graves, Jarrett Proby

The College Board AP Exam in U.S. History will be given on May 5. APUSH is taught by Mr. Lauren Hiebner.
